Well, I found a better copy of the image and we now know it's a parrot:
The parrot was part of Corey Schmidt's bird show at Sesame Place. Sadly, Corey passed away in 2012. There is a memorial page on Facebook.
In addition to his bird show "Birds of Paradise" at Sesame Place, Corey showcased his his performing birds on cruise ships for many years.
