Amazing Mumford's Water Maze: Version 2

Amazing  Mumford's Water Maze was a play element that opened with the park in 1980.

The attraction was a maze of plastic tunnels and netting with water that would spray over the area, soaking kids as the crawled through the net area.

The attraction was eventually removed and replaced with a similar, more colorful version:

This version was removed for the 2006 addition of Elmo's World.

Today the area is occupied by a walkway and a planter between Elmo's Cloud Chaser and Grover's World Twirl.

Construction Photos of Elmo's Cloud Chaser

Image from Articles.wn

I found these photos of the construction of Elmo's Cloud Chaser (which debuted in 2011) on Instagram.

All images from Sesame Place's Instagram page

Here we see the centerpiece of the attraction being brought in by crane.
It's interesting to see a tractor trailer in front of Sesame Neighborhood.

The centerpiece is put into place. This is a rotating swing ride, so this mechanism holds the swings and is jointed so it can rotate.

These are some of the decorative panels that are at the top of the ride, stacked up and ready to be installed.

These are wonderful pictures and I am glad Sesame Place shared them.

The attraction lasted at the park into the 2000s. I was eventually removed. It's former footprint was behind Sesame Food Factory and in front of Sesame Beach. Today the area is occupied by a walkway and a planter between Elmo's Cloud Chaser and Grover's World Twirl.

Rubber Duckie Pond

 Image from CardCow.com

Rubber Duckie Pond was an opening day attraction that was located directly below Big Bird Bridge.

The attraction was simply a giant water bed. Kids would jump and bounce on the surface as an employee stood watch.

The surface was maroon on opening day. Years later it replaced with a blue surface.

Rubber Duckie Pond was eventually re-themed to be a splash pool. It's still kept the same name.

In the center of the splash pool incarnation of Rubber Duckie Pond was a statue of Ernie and Bert going fishing.

Ernie caught a boot and Bert caught a bucket.

After the 2010 season, Rubber Duckie Pond was replaced with Elmo’s Cloud Chaser, a swing ride
